Website audit for: Express Driving Courses

Hi Zaheer,

First of all, thank you for requesting your personal website audit. The purpose of this audit is to analyze your website and search for potential improvements you could make on your website. Both visually and technically.

Three main topics have been analyzed in this report: User Experience (UX), Content and Site health. On the left you find the average score of the website.

Again, this audit has resulted into a fully no-strings-attached value-driven report. But, if you do wan’t any help with making the changes on your website, we are of course happy to help.

Have fun optimizing!

High level insights

With every audit we just take a first glance and note what stands out directly to us. We call this ‘High level Insights’ and we don’t take any details into consideration yet. These are our insights:

  • The design seems a little bit outdated. These types of websites were often seen around 2019-2020.
  • The spacing between different elements are inconsistent. With more consistency it will give the design more clarity.
  • Some imagery look weird because it’s stacked on top of each other.
  • The different pages don’t have always consistency in style and type of imagery.
  • Mobile Responsiveness on the homepage isn’t great.
  • We see in the footer still © 2021 Expressdrivingcourses. So it seems that the website hasn’t been updated for a while.

User Experience (UX) & Site Health Check

We always look at a website from the perspective of a user and potential customer.

The most important things to look at is navigation, usage of brand colors, speed and mobile responsiveness.

Navigation: The website is easy to navigate and it seems to have all the necessary pages for a company like Express Drivingcourses. There are also plenty of call to action buttons to have people take the next step.

Usage of brand colours: The colours are heavily used and it resembles the logo in a good way. But, in our opinion with using the the brand colours also for every heading, it makes it more difficult to have a speficic element stand out.

Speed: We analyzed the page speed by using Google Pagespeed Insights. You can find the results here: Pagespeed score.
As you can see on mobile there are a lot of improvements possible and also desktop might be able to score higher.

Mobile Responsiveness: The mobile responsiveness could be better on certain pages. Some elements on some pages aren’t showing well and are difficult to read. Don’t forget that nowadays a lot of the people visit websites on their mobile phones.

Content

With our SEO tool we’ve analyzed the content on the pages and there are some pages that could use improvements for on-page SEO.

  • 7 pages on the website have a too low word count for Google to be able to index it well
  • 4 pages don’t have a H1 heading
  • 9 pages are missing a meta description
  • 1 page has a <title> tag which is too long.
  • 1 page has a poorly formatted URL for SEO.

This is what we would recommend doing

  • Improve the design to make it more stand out from your competition. We launched a website last week in The Netherlands for a driving school which can give you a better idea on how modern web design could look like: the website
  • Improve the inconsistency of spacing and paddings between the different elements.
  • Improve the mobile responsiveness for an overall better experience for mobile visitors.
  • Improve the consistency of style throughout all of the pages.
  • Improve the side speed by using a good caching plugin with the right settings.
  • Make sure that in the design that brand colours are used as something to make elements standout.

Because you requested the website audit we have a bonus for you. Below you’ll be able to download two free guides on how to optimize your website on speed and how to optimize your website for more conversions.
